Green hydrogen is incredibly versatile and has exceptional potential. We are already helping a wide range of industries, from the transportation sector to energy producers.

John Cockerill: working on the world of tomorrow, today.

John Cockerill Hydrogen provides global solutions for the production, storage, and distribution of hydrogen. We meet the needs of major players of the industry, mobility, and energy sectors.

Green hydrogen, also called renewable hydrogen, is different from hydrogen produced from other processes, such as steam methane reforming, various petrochemical processes or coal gasification, because green hydrogen does not emit CO². The electrolysis of water produces, by definition, hydrogen and only pure oxygen. So there is no trace of CO².

Power to Gas

Power to Gas

Hydrogen is a fantastic energy vector to balance supply and demand of electricity, and to complement the intermittent electricity generated by solar or wind power.

Mobility

Mobility

Today, the transport sector is responsible for air pollution in cities and about 14% of global CO2 emissions. Green hydrogen and our electrolysers will help to change this.

Renewable Energy

Renewable Energy

Renewable electricity production, especially from wind and solar sources, is booming around the world, and production costs are falling rapidly. H² can be used to store and release renewable energy. Excess renewable electricity can be stored as hydrogen and then used to produce renewable energy.

Because the best way to produce green hydrogen is through water electrolysis, John Cockerill Hydrogen has developed a wide range of alkaline electrolysers.
